Crib Point Engineering are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Painting Trades Worker to join their busy engineering workshop in Hastings VIC 3915.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Operate abrasive blasting machinery and maintaining the equipment.
- Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise.
- Prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
- Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns.
- Knowledge of various painting methods and applications.
- Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches, and drawings
- Safe operation of tools and equipment
- Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel
- Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them into practice.
- Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods.
Skills & Abilities:
-Certificate III in Surface preparation / Certificate III in Painting Decorating or relevant
- Ideally have 3 years' experience within relevant or similar field
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
Full-time Position (with RDOs and overtime work both weekdays and weekends available)
