ConsultANZ is seeking a Diesel Fitter-Mechanic for a client to work on diverse projects in Tasmania in an on-site capacity.
$70-100k base + super

Repair and maintenance of diesel engines
Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines.
Using computers, instruments and specialised tools to diagnose and repair faults.
Measure parts to ascertain the extent of the damage and wear and tear and then repair or replace the parts.
Analyzing drawings to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.
Determines suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
Assemble and fit machined parts.
Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.
Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
Creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.
Requirements
Relevant qualification - Mechanic or Diesel Technician, with Red Seal qualification being highly beneficial.
Minimum 4 years of experience in the similar role.
High attention to detail and display a positive & self-motivated attitude.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to work in a team environment.
