The Westport Club based on the banks of the Hastings River in the picturesque town of Port Macquarie is searching for additional Full Time Chefs to join our growing team. This position will provide you with 4 weeks annual leave each year, in addition to a roster that gives you fixed days off every week and an above market wage.

The Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated and committed individuals who will create great, quality meals across our high-volume kitchens serving our waterfront restaurant, cafe and events centre. To apply you'll need at least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification. Your creative vision will leave our guests with a sense of "WOW" as we advance your skills in one of Port Macquarie's premier award-winning venues.
The starting salary for this role will be a minimum of $73,194 from July 1, 2024.
Your Day-to-Day Duties Would Include:
Food preparation and cooking during service, private parties and functions
Preparation and cooking of all dishes in our restaurant
Working pans, grills and fryers efficiently
Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
Assisting with training and mentoring our team
Collaborating with leaders in menu design, implementation and cost for food and labor
Supporting our team in stock control and monitoring wastage
