Position: CAD Drafter

MARTINDALE TECHNOLOGIES INCORPORATED (MTI) specializes in the survey, design, implementation, integration, optimization, and documentation of wired and wireless system requirements of today's telecom infrastructure and intelligent facilities and premises.
Role:
Martindale Technologies Pty Ltd is seeking 1 full time CAD Drafter with at least 2+ years of demonstrated experience in drafting/designing using CAD. You will be a part of a highly functioning team which will allow you to challenge your technical and critical thinking skills. You will be responsible in providing drafting solutions by producing detailed design drawings to support our technical team. Salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 + super for someone with proven experience in the below tasks and responsibilities.
Tasks and Duties:
• Provide telecommunications drafting support by producing detailed drawings and diagrams using AutoCAD and/or other CAD software required.
• Coordinate the production and delivery of drawings for each project, ensuring the accurate recording of revisions and tracking of documents.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Review and recommend design improvements in consultation with the technical team.
• Liaise with clients and relevant authorities as required to ensure the accuracy of drawings.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to drawings and designs.
• Work with other staff to ensure a thorough technical response to requirements within requests for information, bids and tenders.
Qualifications, education, and experience requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in telecommunications design drafting environment or equivalent would be advantageous.
Skills/Characteristics Required:
• Must have a proven AutoCAD and/or other CAD software experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of standards and requirements.
• Interpersonal skills of a high order, with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
• Sound written and verbal communications skills.
• Detail-orientated (a strong focus on meticulous attention to accuracy and thoroughness in achieving tasks)
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for project outputs, reports and other data as appropriate.
