We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Vietnamese and English and have a deep understanding of Vietnamese cuisine, particularly in the art of crafting delicious and authentic Hanoi Pho broth. You will play a pivotal role in upholding the standards of our restaurant by preparing flavorful, aromatic, and soul-satisfying bowls of Pho for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Pho broth according to our traditional recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of Pho broth, noodles, and garnishes.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of Pho dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Pho station and kitchen area.
- Monitor and manage inventory of Pho ingredients, including meats, spices, and herbs.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Prepare and cook other dishes on the menu according to our traditional recipes and standards.
- Consult with Restaurant Managers to tweak menus according to the local customer profile.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Pho Cook or in a similar role, preferably in a Vietnamese restaurant setting.
- Proficiency in preparing and cooking Pho broth from scratch, including simmering bones and aromatic spices.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Be fluent in both English and Vietnamese.
