Job description
We have a great opportunity with our Federal Government client for a Legal Support Officer to support the Governance and Legal Practice Services Branch. The Branch, supports the legal practice through governance, risk management, audit, administrative support, and library functions.
As a Legal Support Officer, you will provide a range of general administrative support services to the legal practice, including case administration, case preparation, and witness coordination. Working under supervision, you will liaise with staff and use various administrative, legal, and digital litigation tools and systems to support case analysis and management. You will also draft routine workplace documents, emails, and other correspondence.
Responsibilities:
Create and administer case files
Photocopying, filing, data entry
Meeting administration and records management (including archiving)
Witness Coordination
Draft summonses/subpoenas
Liaise with witnesses, provide updates, arrange travel and related tasks
