Full Time Chef
Brief details about the position:
• Permanent full-time position
• 38 hours per week
• $ 70,000 - $ 80,000 per year + superannuation
• Located in Sydney CBD
We are looking for an Executive Chef with minimum 2 years' experience.
The successful applicant will work and responsible for daily kitchen management including:
• Daily preparation for kitchen service
• Inventory Control & Food Costing Management
• Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
• Ensure compliance with NSW food safety regulations.
• Supervise preparation, cooking and presentation
• Provide input in menu development
• Schedule staff and assist in human resource processes as needed including induction for new staff for the kitchen team & training etc.
The job will be full time, with work hours open for negotiation and depending on workplace requirement.
Successful applicants must have:
• Demonstrated knowledge of techniques and practices in Asian cuisine.
• Strong leadership abilities
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent knife-handling skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Formal culinary training / culinary degree
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fine dining restaurant
• Previous kitchen management experience
