Your New Role:
Understanding technical and blueprint drawings used to guide measuring, cutting, shaping and joining metal fittings
Set up and operate a number of machines within the workshop including, drill presses, brakes, shears, lathes and mills
TIG welding - Although not a lot of welding experience is necessary for the job
Fabrication of light fittings - cutting, bending and shaping as well as using hand and power tools to finish products
Grinding and polishing finished products for the desired finish
Quality assurance
Ensuring you are working safely to get the work done.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Proven experience in a similar role
Trade Qualification - Fabrication (desirable but not necessary)
3+ years within relevant industry
Knowledge of fabrication machines such as shears, drill presses etc.
Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and medical if required
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
