Our client, Cairns GP Medical Centre Pty Ltd trading as Cairns GP Medical Centre, is in need of a skilled and experienced General Medical Practitioner who is interested to join their team on a full-time basis. The centre is located at 377 Sheridan Street, Cairns North, Queensland 4870.

Cairns GP Medical Centre provides general practice services, including preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. They also offer health checks, immunisations, minor surgical procedures, and specialist referrals. The centre is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and quality healthcare to the local community.

The annual salary for the role is commission-based, approximately ranging from $75,000.00 to $145,000.00.

Responsibilities include:
• Conducting examinations and interviewing patients to identify the nature of disorders and illnesses, while maintaining accurate records of patients' medical history.
• Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and analysing results to aid in diagnosis.
• Providing comprehensive care for patients, including prescribing and administering treatments, medications, and other necessary measures.
• Monitoring patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Offering advice on diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to prevent and manage diseases and disorders.
• Referring patients to specialist Medical Practitioners when necessary, and facilitating the exchange of medical information.
• Reporting births, deaths, and notifiable diseases to relevant government authorities.
• Coordinating patient admissions to hospitals and collaborating with healthcare teams for seamless care delivery.
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care and medical practice.

Qualifications:
• Must possess Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• Should have at least one (1) year of hospital-based experience.
