We, IPD Group Ltd are offering an exciting opportunity for experienced Electrical Engineering Draftsperson join our team in Wetherill Park NSW.
Role:
As DB Design and Drafting Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the drafting team to ensure the production of high-quality technical drawings for electrical distribution boards, switchboards, metering panels, control boxes, and associated electrical components. Overall, you will be required to oversee and manage multiple drafting projects, from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing drafting projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and AS/NZS 614 39, wiring rules and service rules. Management of various forms of drawings. collecting data, performing tests and calculations, graphing results, and preparing reports
Collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth workflow and project completion, ensuring the workload and timelines are adhered to
Collecting data, performing tests and complex calculations, documenting results and preparing charts and tabulations for projects
Undertaking electrical workshop functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and other indicating devices.
Coordinating with project & production managers, engineers, QA dept and other stakeholders to understand project requirement and deliverables
Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations
Supervising and mentoring a team of drafters, providing guidance and support as needed.
Reviewing and approving technical drawings and plans for accuracy, completeness and compliance with industry standards, estimating materials, costs and quantities
Performing quality checks and audits on completing work to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
Overseeing the installing, testing and calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements
Operating within the guidelines of process and looking at continual improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary Qualification or equivalent industry experience in drafting
Previous experience using drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, Solid works etc) to assist with complex projects
Providing training and support to team members and all the stakeholders on software and best practices
Preparation of reports on project progress, team performance and issues encountered
Time management and organisational skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality with effective communication an interpersonal skills
Hands on experience on various products, in depth knowledge of electrical distribution systems in Australia
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Minimum $80,000 plus superannuation
