The role involves the provision of effective pastoral care services to residents and their families ensuring that residents receive pastoral and spiritual care appropriate to their individual needs. To work collaboratively with the service manager and staff.

To be successful for the role you will have:

  • Background & Qualifications in Pastoral Care (Clinical Pastoral Education, Theology, or Spirituality)
  • Previous pastoral experience in an aged care environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate Catholic Healthcare’s values of compassion, honesty, hospitality, respect and excellency
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Exceptional planning skills and ability to complete computer based pastoral care plans for each resident
  • Qualifications in counselling are desirable
  • Ability to provide a weekly Ecumenical Church service that will assist residents of all faiths to grow spirituality is desirable
  • NDIS Check or willing to obtain
