We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Senior Loss Assessor: Marine to join the team based in Perth, Western Australia.

Responsibilities:
• Undertake marine insurance claims investigations, assessment and adjustments in accordance with insurer instructions and policy terms and conditions.
• Undertake typical marine damage assessment functions in relation to insurance damage surveys, container damage inspections, bulk / breakbulk / containerised cargo inspections.
• Examine reported insurance losses to establish the cause, liability and quantum.
• Undertake Inland Transit surveys / inspections / investigations.
• Conduct commercial and small craft / personal watercraft and marina damage inspections / assessments.
• Effectively liaise with the client, customer and all marine stakeholders throughout the life of the claim. This role requires good communications and liaison with claim stakeholders – insurers, claimants, brokers, transporters, logistics agents, shipping lines, warehouses and any other appointed assessors/adjusters/surveyors or representative party/stakeholders.
• Compile Schedules of Loss.
• Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to all stakeholders.
• Make recommendations regarding mitigating and salvage disposal.
• Prepare a report of findings within SLAs.
About you:
• At least 5 years’ experience in marine loss adjusting
• Relevant industry qualifications, Certificate/ Degree/ Diploma in Insurance / Marine Law / Loss Adjusting / Marine Surveying / Transport & Logistics
• Excellent Business development and negotiation skills
• Strong organisational, and written / verbal communication skills
• A strong service delivery focus for clients, including insurers, customers and brokers
• The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
• Resilient with a growth mindset
• Must be able to work “unsupervised”
• Able to demonstrate the application of our Caring Counts philosophy and core values
