An outstanding fulltime opportunity has arisen for a motivated Systems Analyst. This role provides vital support to the business in helping to maintain and improve Gateway’s computer systems.

The primary focus of this role is to be responsible for maintaining and improving Gateway Bank computer systems.

About the Role
Working within our Business Systems team, and reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, some of your responsibilities would include:
• Evaluating processes used in existing IT systems, and propose modifications, additional system components or new systems to meet user requirements.
• Perform high-level analysis and translate technical solutions for non-technical staff, including business stakeholders and analysts, to clarify requirements and present design solutions.
• Develop and/or review information policies and procedures. Participate in reviewing IT architecture and processes in line with current technology standards.
• Offer expert advice on day-to-day matters related to business applications, supporting the business with technical insights and solutions.
• Assist the BTS team with configuring and developing various IT systems to meet security standards and compliance requirements.
• Assist the BTS team in comprehensive testing and quality assurance to ensure system reliability and functionality.
• Monitor system security using security platforms, enforce access controls, and contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans to mitigate potential risks.
• Participate in project reviews, create, and implement action plans to bring escalated projects back on track
• Deliver level 1-3 support when needed.
• Maintain detailed system logs and records to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and auditing.
• Contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation, including user guides, system manuals, and training materials.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant technology trends and advancements. Provide expert advice on the implementation of new technologies to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.


About You
To be successful in this role, your experience and qualifications would be as follows:
• Tertiary education in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology (completed or in progress).
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support or IT/systems analyst role.
• ITIL certification & understanding of the ITIL framework including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and/or Service Desk
• Accreditations and training in Microsoft Platform essential (server, M365, Azure).

Your technical skills would be as follows:
• Developing and documenting system specifications and modelling in consultation with technical experts e.g. UML
• Ability to produce system analyst/technical BA documentation (data modelling, sequence diagrams, event driven architectures and complex integration requirements).
• Experience with IT operations reporting and metric development.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Experience successfully responding to managing cyber incidents / breaches
• Must have proven knowledge of ServiceNow administration and development framework.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Designing, Developing and Deploying ServiceNow solutions and integrations in an Enterprise environment.
• Intermediate programming skills with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RestAPI.
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft platforms such as Exchange and Intune.
• Proficient in designing and describing workflows and data structures using visualization tools like UMLet, Visio or Lucidchart to depict solutions visually (e.g., process flows, data formats/schema.)
• Understanding of the Software Delivery Life Cycle and Agile Scrum methodology.
• Exceptional technical documentation skills, capable of creating clear and comprehensive specifications and system documentation.
• Experience in providing level 1-3 application support.
• Comprehensive expertise in Client OS (Windows 10/11) and troubleshooting.

For our part, we offer an excellent working environment, investment in training and career development programs, competitive remuneration and other benefits. As a guide the base salary range for this role is expected to be $80-90,000 per annum.

You would be working in our stylish office in the Sydney CBD, which is located close to transport and the QVB shopping district. Once you have completed your training you will have the option to work from home 1-2 days per week.
