Chef required immediately at Thamel Chowk Restaurant and Bar in Glenroy, VIC.
Salary: Between 65K to 85K plus superannuation
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced, professional and trade-qualified Chef to join our Thamel Chowk Restaurant and Bar, Glenroy, VIC on a Full-Time basis.You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, delivery, and service of samosas,tandoori dishes and classic curries. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience developing positive relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and people from different backgrounds. In conjunction with the Catering Coordinator, you will develop recipes and menu’s and be a supervisor and role model to a small team.
Other tasks may include:
1. Assist in the development of a cleaning schedule.
2. Maintain and manage stock levels.
3. Unput to the food safety program.
4. Ensure all pasteries and breads produced are of a good visual and nutritional standard.
5. Control and monitor wastage levels – adjusting protocol as required.

6. Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods (NDDSI)
7. Have knowledge and experience in OHS compliance within a food services setting
8. Have full Australian working rights
