Roccella Italian Restaurant is now looking for a Chef to join their team
The right candidate will be responsible for:
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards ensuring compliance with the restaurant's Food Safety Plan;
Assist other cooks and chefs with general preparations, in order to ensure a quick and smooth service;
Train staff members for plating techniques and cooking procedures;
Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, etc;
Use knives skills to minimise wastage and teach other cooks how to perform specific meat and fish cuts;
Deal with waiters and other staff members, to ensure food is delivery appropriately;
Ensuring that the equipment, food stock, and general inventory are always up to the restaurant's standard;
Making sure the raw ingredients are properly dry-stored, refrigerated, or frozen when necessary;
Make fresh pasta and deserts;
About you:
At least 2 years of experience as Chef;
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and pasta making;
Ability to work unsupervised;
Strong communications skills;
Ability to work as part of a team and by managing well your section and orders;
Job type: Permanent/full-time
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
