As the Café Manager you are responsible for overseeing the efficient running and profitability of the venue and managing the employees. You will bear ultimate responsibility for the venue including staff, stock and operations.
You are to lead by example and uplift the staff during busy moments. Ultimately, you will ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant dining experience.
Tasks & Duties:
- Reporting to Head of FOH Ops, you will lead, manage and develop staff for Front of House.
- As the face of the venue, you will build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Responding to bookings and event enquiries (managing the enquiries inbox).
- Foster a positive working relationship with the head chef & kitchen staff.
- Working with head chef in planning the menus.
- Ensure a smooth operational workflow of the front of house.
- Build on food and beverage revenue opportunities including special functions.
- Maintain high standards of operations including compliance with regulations.
- Report on performance – labour cost, productivity and staffing levels.
- Good records keeping of stock levels and finances.
- Involvement in recruitment, training and development as well as performance management.
- Motivate and inspire your team to deliver high service standards.
- As part of the leadership team, you will be instrumental to the success and future growth of the venue.
Suitable candidates must have relevant training qualifications and at least 2 years of working experience.
Salary from $70,000 per annum.
