Alfresco Italian Restaurant is now looking for a talented Chef to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for:
Creating and modifying the restaurant’s menu based on food trends, food costs, special requests, and seasonal availability;
Preparing and delivering dishes from the selected menu;
Overseeing the operations of the kitchen and back-of-house, ensuring that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications or requests;
Helping maintain high-quality food production;
Presenting dishes in an elegant matter;
Overseeing and supervising the kitchen staff and training new employees;
Ensuring the kitchen runs in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards;
Maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed;
Overseeing stocking, ordering, and purchasing of ingredients, ensuring that necessary ingredients are available and as fresh as possible while also minimising spoilage and waste;
About you:
At least 2 years of experience as a Chef;
Ability to produce an excellent culinary and restaurant experience for clients;
Extremely creative;
Excellent time management, scheduling, managerial, and organisational skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and under pressure
