About The Role

This position is an opportunity for a self-motivated electrical professional passionate about innovation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. Our global business strategy is to focus heavily on net-zero carbon design. As such, we are deeply involved in roof top solar design, integrated batteries, microgrids and electrical vehicle charging networks. These elements span across all our building industry sectors.

Working with a team committed to developing innovative designs for high-performance buildings, the Senior Electrical Engineer will play a fundamental role in the production of great design work. The Senior Electrical Engineer position is your chance to join a collaborative team and influence the design of efficient, healthy buildings for a sustainable future.


Responsibilities:

Responsible for the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on building electrical systems for different types of buildings, specifically healthcare, sports, labs and commercial, industrial and precinct level infrastructure
Participate in the design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for building and infrastructure electrical system
Lead a design team through the entire project life cycle, supporting the team in client meetings, collaborating with other disciplines and consultants, coordinating site service and electrical requirements, and performing field reviews
Take ownership for projects from start to finish, meeting project objectives while putting emphasis on sustainable solutions and outcomes
Promote active, continuous learning and improvement within the team. Cultivate team members’ growth through feedback, coaching and career development
Support Team Lead to plan projects, optimize resources Managing project timelines, budget, and talented resources

What you bring to the team:

Minimum 7 years of experience designing electrical systems in the building industry
Minimum 4 years of experience in designing direct to REVIT
Australian Qualifications Framework - Bachelor Degree associated with the built environment and ideally working towards CPEng
Good knowledge of construction phase monitoring of completed designs
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong reporting writing skills and strong consulting skills
Good working knowledge of lighting design software, either AGI or Dialux
Good working knowledge of PowerCad or equivalent cable design software
Organised and effective team member, able to work easily with others, manage staff, negotiate, and effectively delegate
Advanced Interpersonal skills with clients and staff
Advanced communication and coaching skills
