The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our newly established BlueScope Distribution site and join our team as a Key Market Account Manager. The National Product, Processing & Solutions Hub is BlueScope Distribution’s new capability. It enables us to provide our customers with a unique domestically co-coordinated supply chain solution for the delivery of large-scale projects nation-wide.
The Hub has been built with high-spec and automated equipment so we can deliver complex value-add solutions that meet our customer needs – now and into the future.
We’re proud to be investing in and growing manufacturing capability within Australia that enables our customers to deliver significant and critical projects for our communities across renewables, infrastructure, defence and mining, oil and gas.
In this critical role, you will work with our broader distribution sales and operations teams to strengthen and increase our capacity to achieve an improved cost-effective solution and supply chain for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring profitable growth of revenue, margin and market share for the Hub.

What Will You Do?
Using your exceptional relationship-building skills to grow and build strategic partnerships with key industry contacts and customers to uncover new opportunities, you will:
- build and manage supply proposals, submissions and coordination of strategic customer quotes
- ensure effective and consistent price management for all accounts in accordance to the business’ pricing framework
- create an active sales pipeline of new business opportunities, projects and leads through market research
- work closely with the Project Delivery team to ensure customer projects are delivered on time
- manage national relationships with industry associations that are critical in the target segments to ensure we are in the best position to compete and deliver and attend relevant trade shows, expos and networking events
More About You
As an experienced Key Account Manager with superior influencing and relationship management skills, you will have:
- proven experience engaging with senior key customers and industry contacts
- strong communication skills and ability to influence on all levels
- prior experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
- ability and desire to work collaboratively with our internal teams
- prior exposure to pricing and margin and its impact on profitability
