The Opportunity
Civmec are currently seeking Full Time Boilermakers for immediate starts with structural steel experience to join our workshop facility based in Henderson. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantry cranes
Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG
About You
Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker
Gantry Crane competency
Post Apprenticeship
Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience with similar structures, specifications and standard
