Merchants Of Ultimo is a European food collective at Broadway, just on the fringes of Sydney’s CBD. It’s a celebration of artisanal offerings with a perfect balance of the exotic and the traditional.
We are currently seeking a full-time Chef for our busy business located in Broadway Shopping Centre, NSW.
Your duties will include:
1. Prepare and present the customized food orders.
2. monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
3. Maintain a high standard and consistent quality in the daily food preparation. Keep abreast of the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
4. Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastages, and cost control.
5. Working on and with the hot and cold commercial kitchen equipment. Monitoring and controlling wastage, portion control on a day-by-day basis Responsible to ensure food safety and kitchen sanitation.
6. Responsible for food ordering and kitchen maintenance.
7. Organizing the food inventory and ordering supplies.
8. Select and training the kitchen staff
9. Planning the menus to suit seasonal changes if necessary
Salary rates :
$70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
Employment Type: Full-time 38 hours per week
Requirements of position :
At least Certificate IV in Cookery and Diploma in Kitchen Management or Hospitality Management
At least three years relevant experiences as a chef in commercial kitchens
