Our client is a large family farm operating in Bute South Australia, growing and marketing grains and legumes in particular wheat, barley, canola, lentils and lupins.
Our client is now seeking a full-time Supply and Distribution Manager to organize, direct, control and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of its produce. This position attracts an annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000.
The responsibilities required for this role is as follows:
- Representing the farm in buying and selling of commodities
- Managing, planning and executing storage and distribution strategies and prioritising quality of produce
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of transactions, contract administration and inquires
-Appointing and liaising with transportation providers to ensure efficient and cost effective delivery process from farm to customer
- Ensuring high quality of produce is maintained at all stages from storage to delivery
- Maintaining digital systems and accurate records of produce in storage, in transit and delivered.
- Monitoring market trends and prices, and providing sound advice to Management
- Working closely with Farm Manager to ensure effective storage of harvest from field to silo
- Managing junior team members
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years work experience.
