As a result of strong demand, we have outstanding opportunities for experienced and highly skilled PAINTING TRADES PERSONS, for an immediate start at our modern engineering workshop at Molendinar. We are looking for trustworthy individuals with integrity who will bring a positive can-do attitude to the position and to the team.
The role includes but is not limited to:
• Understand surface preparation and finishes.
• Proper handling of all vehicles giving it due care and detailed attention
• Be able to understand and complete works to specifications.
• Be able to mix correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
• Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage
• Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
• Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
• Able to carry out minor repairs as and when deemed necessary
• Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
• Cleaning equipment and work areas.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
• Trade Certificate –Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters)
• High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift
• Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs)
• HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift
• Drivers Licence (MR or HR class)

• Strong communication skills
