Based at our Osborne Park office you will be working on a 5/2 roster reporting to our Principal Mine Planning Engineer- Strategic Planning. You will develop strategic mine plans in the Life of Mine Planning Horizon and Sustaining Project Studies. You will be working with key stakeholders such as; Tactical Mine Planning, Finance, Orebody Knowledge, Environment and Approvals, Heritage, and Planning Services. Responsibilities Development and upkeep of mining models from first principles to reflect updated resource knowledge and extraction, sensitivity and performance. Pit optimisation and pit shell selection. Producing designs for ultimate pits, stages, waste dumps and mine layouts to support strategic level mine planning and primary and secondary approvals. Engage with key stakeholders to develop an understanding of business wide objectives and constraints to inform assumptions, decisions and limitations when developing strategic mine plans. Synthesis and process data to develop useable and repeatable assumptions for input into strategic mine plans. Scoping, designing and integrating rehabilitation and closure into greenfield and project execution phases of mine planning. Undertake scenario and project analysis to support approvals, reserve reporting and life extension opportunities.
