We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IAM Governance Specialist 6 month contract opportunity for our client, a global convenience store chain. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective governance of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems. The candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our client's cybersecurity posture by managing and optimizing IAM and PAM processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation and deployment of Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and other PAM tools.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the identity lifecycle and its implications for access management.
- Conduct detailed assessments of existing IAM and PAM tools, identifying capabilities and limitations.
- Create and maintain a "Battlecard" or comparison table for shortlisted PAM and IAM governance tools, including justifications for each assessment.
- Gather and document technical requirements for PAM and IAM governance tools, considering the current environment, integration needs, and future growth.
- Advise on whether Azure PIM meets our organizational needs or if more extensive tools are required.
- Implement and/or configure PAM tools, focusing on strong authentication and authorization mechanisms, including SSO (SAML, SCIM, etc.).
- Provide expertise in Azure services and their applicability to IAM and PAM.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IDAM governance tools, understanding their purpose and limitations.
- Liaise with various stakeholders to articulate technical requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to enhance IAM-related processes and policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Proven experience in deploying/configuring Azure PIM and other PAM tools.
- Strong background in IAM, with specific focus on governance and lifecycle management.
- Experience in configuring or managing governance tools.
- Excellent understanding of authentication, authorization, and SSO technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce well-reasoned and data-driven analyses.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, Azure, or IAM are highly desirable.
