? Prepare and cook all meals according to the customer order and under the supervision of Head

? Ensures maximum productivity and profitability in the kitchen
? Stock taking and food safety
? Assist the Head Chef in choosing and developing the menu items
? Keep an eye on the stock and place orders for necessary items as the supply becomes low
? Ensure all dishes are cooked by the cooks to the standards expected from our establishment
? Train and mentor junior staff
? Ensures kitchen hygiene and cleanliness is maintained to the highest standard
? In conjunction with the Head Chef ensures that the cleaning and wash-up work load is shared
and looked after by all back of house staff
? Is on call for all emergencies and any unexpected Kitchen, or staffing requirements
Knowledge
? Formal qualifications at Diploma level related to the hospitality industry and commercial
cookery
? Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working in a fast pace restaurant
? Knowledge and good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Regulations
? Detailed Knowledge of all kitchen operations
? To be able to establish clear lines of communication with the Head Chef, front of house staff,
and business owners
? To be able to ensure that all equipment is regularly cleaned and maintained in a safe manner
