The role of the Staff Specialist is to:
Provide comprehensive surgical services across a wide range of pathologies and patient age within the department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Townsville University Hospital.
Work within the team charter of Maxillofacial Surgery and across teams, collaborating with the Plastics and ENT departments to build a collegiate team and happy workplace.
Manage the delivery of patient care in the area of Maxillofacial Surgery including management of complex clinical situations.
Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $522,648 p.a. comprising:
Salary range between $97.84 and $124.05 p.h. (L18-L27). Level of appointment is dependent upon experience and advanced qualifications.
4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
attraction and retention incentive allowance
regional and rural attraction allowance
motor vehicle allowance
professional development assistance (allowances and leave)
Other employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.
Requirements:
FRACS and FRACDS (OMS).
Proof of qualification and Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
6 months' probation period may apply.
