Seeking expressions of interest for casual workers on our strawberry farm in Stanthorpe from December 2023 to May 2024.
Positions to be filled include:
Picking strawberries paid on piece rate $0.60-$2.00/kg, 40 positions available, minimum wage guarantee of $28.26/hour.
Packing strawberries paid on piece rate $0.18 -$0.30/punnet, 30 positions available, minimum wage guarantee of $28.26/hour.
Pack Shed Hand, casual position, paid on hourly rate of $28.26/hour, 2 positions available,
Pack Shed Quality Control, casual position, paid on hourly rate of $28.26/hour, 2 positions available,
Farm Hand, casual position, paid on hourly rate $28.26/hour, 2 positions available,
Minimum wage guarantee: Under the Horticultural Award 2020 a pieceworker must be paid for each day on which they work no less that their hourly rate under the Award multiplied by the number of hours worked on that day.
Hourly work may be offered if required by the business and will be paid at the Level 1 Casual rate of $28.26
Applicants must be available to work 7 days a week during peak season November to March.
Proposed hours of work: 30-48/week
No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided.
Work is physically demanding.
Limited on-farm and off-farm accommodation is available.
