MPDT is looking to employ an experienced Mechanic for the Far North Qld region who have previous experience and can demonstrate competence and knowledge in the following areas:
• Servicing and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair of a wide range of vehicles and machinery.
• Ordering parts
• Completing inspection reports
• Implementing safe work practices
• Risk assessment
• Upkeep and maintenance of tools and equipment
Skills or Experience
• Certificate III in a mechanical field or mechanical trade qualification.
• Minimum 2 Years experience
• Construction Induction Whitecard (preferred)
• Drivers Licence (preferably heavy vehicle)
The Role
You will be an essential part of our mechanical crew, ensuring our fleet of vehicles are well maintained. You will perform mechanical repairs, servicing, and inspections on a wide range of vehicles within our fleet.
About you:
• Have the ability to use computers/iPads.
• The mechanical knowledge/skills with experience in light vehicle, EWP and Truck maintenance in general.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgement, ability to meet workload to meet deadlines and targets.
• Ability to adapt quickly to the change in a dynamic environment,
• Ability to co-ordinate and priorities own work schedule and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to respond to changing business imperatives and willingness to undertake different duties/tasks.
