Monash Women’s; Maternity at MMC is focused on providing specialized, compassionate, and multidisciplinary care to meet the diverse needs of pregnant women and their families. Our team delivers exceptional, compassionate care to expectant mothers, offering a comprehensive range of services from routine pregnancies to high-risk conditions. Our dedicated team of experienced midwives, Obstetric Registrars, and Consultants collaboratively provide specialized antenatal and perinatal care, including advanced diagnostic services and one-to-one support during labor. With a focus on family-centered care, our Maternity Ward ensures a multidisciplinary environment, fostering excellence in the management of complex pregnancies. At Monash Medical Centre, we are committed to the well-being of both mothers and babies, providing personalized, high-quality care throughout the entire journey of pregnancy.
A Day in the Life of a Registered Midwife at Monash Medical Centre
Our Registered Midwives love coming to work everyday to be able to provide women centred care across the full scope of maternity care. Work with likeminded skilled senior staff and clinical mentors, while being supported by others across the program and across our large, complex health service. Our maternity team is a close-knit community of professionals who support each other every step of the way. You'll be part of a team that values collaboration, learning, and growth.
We have ongoing full and part time opportunities working a rotating roster across all shifts, and across a minimum of 2 maternity areas.
About You
We seek compassionate individuals who are committed to providing the highest level of care. You share a passion for midwifery with your team in providing support to women and their families through what should be the most joyful experience in their family life. You'll encounter a variety of situations. We want team members who can think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances. Collaboration is key to our success. We value individuals who can work seamlessly with colleagues to ensure the best possible patient care and you bring the following skills experience and knowledge:
Proven experience and knowledge working in an Acute Maternity service
Outstanding communication and time management skills coupled with delivering evidence based holistic patient centred care
