We have an opportunity for a Leading Hand to join us in our production facility in the New Year. This is a hands on role, leading teams of up to 8 staff, and participating in day to day assembly of product.
Previous Leading Hand or Supervisor experience is preferred. However a motivated candidate with the required assembly and people skills should also apply. Full product training will be provided.
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Oversee and guide small teams of assembly staff.
- Ensure product is manufactured according to specifications & SOPS.
- Ensure WH&S guidelines & procedures are adhered to.
- Operating basic machinery
- Assembly operations such as drilling, fastening and bolting of components.
- Assembly of a range of sheet metal and aluminium components
- Preparing components ready for assembly
- Previous experience with a range of hand tools is required
- Previous experience in a production/assembly environment is required
- Previous experience and knowledge of gas heating products or basic understanding of electrical wiring principals, would be an advantage
- Able to work to close tolerances
- Have a strong quality focus
- Be flexible and willing to learn
- Must have good communication skills
- Must desire a clean and safe work environment and equipment
- Must have a positive and cooperative attitude
