About the Job

This is a key role within the Communications and Content team. The Marketing Automation Specialist will apply marketing principles to build targeted email, SMS, App and event campaigns to drive customer engagement and growth objectives. This role will build and execute marketing automation programs in Marketo, working alongside member experience and marketing managers to utilise data and analytics to inform segmentation, new journeys and optimise existing journeys.

You’ll work closely with your team leader, constantly striving to exceed expectations and surprise and delight Rest members.

  • Collaborate with member experience and other internal stakeholders, to develop campaigns that are targeted, relevant, and on brand.
  • Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations.
  • Update campaign and email templates for continued optimisation and/or changing business requirements.
  • Work closely with marketing teams and external agency partners to develop best practice email comms and to develop lifecycle mapping and triggers.
  • Establish automated campaigns across a range of direct channels including email, push, SMS and in- app messaging.
  • Assist the marketing teams with designing and coding emails and landing pages in-line with best practices and stay up to date with new marketing technologies.
  • Assist the marketing teams with analysis on the performance of campaigns and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate synchronisation between Marketo and other Rest systems to maintain data integrity across all systems.
  • Use email and website analytics to gain member insights to inform content creation.
  • Analyse behavioural data to design intentional and relevant member experiences.
  • Document processes and procedures and meet compliance and data governance obligations.
