Primary Objective:
Shaype is seeking an experienced Developer Programmer for immediate start. This role will work within the engineering and client integration team to meet the needs of the both the business and its clients.
This will be wide reaching role which will cover the development of new software, acting as an escalation point for our Technical Operations team to assist with the investigation and resolution of production issues.
Essential Skills & Experience
General:
• Must have a minimum of five years verifiable experiencing in developer programming
• Must have fintech and payments experience
• Banking as a Service / Embedded Finance experience highly desirable
• Working within a business to business to consumer environment is highly advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• This is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary of 150,000 plus superannuation.
Engineering:
• Show a good understanding of the role of a developer programmer within Agile Scrum and preferably have previous experience in a Tech Lead role.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of how software development fits into the overall software delivery ecosystem.
• Have experience of building, running and supporting enterprise grade applications in a microservice architecture.
• Show a good understanding of how software is deployed, managed and operated in a production environment.
• Be a key contact for any production software bugs identified. You will also be responsible for investigating any issues or questions raised by Shaype’s clients or business team. Point of escalation for issues which are complex and difficult to diagnose or resolve.
• Be hands on with development teams, understand what good code looks like and see the bigger picture, taking architecture into consideration with a DevOps mindset.
• Be proactive and develop systems/processes to prevent incidents from occurring and to identify them as soon as they do occur. Similarly, you are expected to consider the root cause of an incident and address as appropriate
• Show a good understanding of how software is deployed, managed and operated in a production environment.
