Maintenance Planner

Drillmech are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Planner for an ongoing full-time role in our Maddington workshop. We can offer an attractive salary ($92,000 - $110,000 per annum) to the right candidate.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for working towards the ongoing success of Drillmech through providing Maintenance planning and providing Technical Support. Partnering with the management team, the Maintenance planner is expected to contribute towards the achievement of the company’s targets and management system.

With a stable ledger of long-term customers Drillmech is looking to expand in order to keep up with a growing market, subsequently we require the services of a supervisor with a strong technical background in a variety of heavy-duty underground mining equipment to lead a diverse team of Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers, Sandblasters and Painters.
About the Role:
A Maintenance Planner’s duties may include, but not be limited to:
• Lead by example, advocating the Drillmech values of Safety, Integrity, Honesty and Diversity.
• Generate parts lists for machines at estimate stage.
• Being responsible for ensuring all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are followed.
• Coordinate with the purchasing officer to ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Developing maintenance strategies.
• Ensure all personnel use equipment and materials properly to avoid hazards.
• Report and record all incidents, accidents and near misses.
• Ensure workplace tidiness standards are upheld at all times, contributing to a safe and healthy working environment.
• Provide technical advice
• Generate variance documentation as required
• Communicate with workshop employees and managers
Essential Criteria:
• AQF Degree, Advance Diploma, Diploma, relevant Trade Certificate or 3+ years’ experience in a Mechanical/Automotive/Planning role.
• Valid Australian Driver’s License.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
