Ausunland Accounting is a pro-active accounting and business advisory firm based in Burwood (near Burwood train station), Sydney. We are an experienced team of certified practising accountants and tax agents who strives to provide a quality and personalised service to our clients.
We are seeking a motivated and energy filled intermediate accountant to join our team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the accountant role at our company include but are not limited to:
Collecting, examining and analysing financial information and data of relevance;
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns whilst ensuring accuracy;
Preparing business activity statements (BAS) and instalment activity statement (IAS); and
Regular communication and liaising with different stakeholders including the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and other relevant institutions.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, the following qualities and capabilities are desirable in potential candidates:
Possessing good analytical and critical thinking skills;
Strong organisational abilities;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Effective time and matter management;
Proficiency in basic software technologies like Microsoft Office 365; and
To work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor degree) in accounting, finance, or a related discipline;
Practical experience of at least 2 years as an accountant or in a similar role is preferred;
Preferably able to communicate proficiently in English and Mandarin;
Possesses prior experience with Xero XPM highly regarded but not essential; and
Possesses prior experience in the preparation of returns for self-managed super funds (SMSFs) is also an advantage.
