Our Strategy and Transactions team are looking to hire a Senior Consultant, based in Sydney.
Key duties of the role are
- Lead the delivery of IT due diligence, IT post-merger integration and IT separation/carve-out
assignments from inception to completion including project management and report writing
- Build and maintain effective client relationships with senior stakeholders and be accountable
for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products
- Support the sales lifecycle process including the client and engagement acceptance
process, development of statements-of-work and proposals and pricing of engagements.
- Train, oversee and motivate a team of high-performing IT transaction professionals, working
within the broader TSE team nationally
- Maintain IT industry thought leadership on relevant topics such as enterprise IT
infrastructure, application migration, cybersecurity and digital and analytics
Essential skills for the role are:
- Professional experience and/or an educational background in Technology / Computer
Science
- IT project management – lead project teams comprising of colleagues across multiple EY
divisions
- Business and commercially driven mindset – ability to work in a fast-paced environment and
demonstrate sound business acumen to drive value for our clients
- Excellent report writing – strong English language skills and the ability to produce written
work of the highest quality
- Problem-solving – ability to deal with ambiguous circumstances and take an
assumptions-based approach to drive IT project outcomes
- Practice development – lead internal team initiatives, supporting the continued focus on our
team as a great place to work
- People development – coach and mentor team members to support achievement of their
career goals
- Building relationships – develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior
clients, with the ability to influence, advise and support key decision makers
- Technical knowledge – demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of corporate IT
environments with knowledge across a number of key IT areas such as infrastructure, IT
strategy, applications, software development and IT service delivery.
- Management Consulting or Professional Services experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics,
Business, Accounting or Finance and 2-6 years of related work experience
- Experience in IT post-merger integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a
demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience leading and managing projects in complex business environments
Team leadership, experience leading small sized teams
- The ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry

Regarding this role, the minimum salary is AUD 82,000 including superannuation
