• Coordinate and oversee strategies to monitor and maintain the health, welfare and condition of marine stock.
• Oversee the breeding, feeding and nutrition programs for copepod populations in alignment with primary aquaculture feed regimes.
• Manage transportation of marine stock across husbandry life cycle stages (i.e. larval, nursery, growout).
• Coordinate and oversee harvesting, grading, processing and packaging operations of marine stock.
• Assist in the planning and execution of trial, research, and laboratory work, including data analysis activities associated with key aquaculture production issues.
• Frequently communicate, and where required report information, plans, progress and results to management for periodical board reporting.
• Collect, record and summarise biological data and other information for use in technical studies or to develop protocols, procedures and management plans.
• Procure aquatic stock, equipment and consumables to support target production outputs.
• Collect and examine samples to evaluate the health of marine stock and aquaculture systems.
• Select, train and supervise staff and contractors to overcome identified human resource gaps.
• Remain up to date with relevant research, literature, and industry news.
• Execute tasks as communicated by the senior management team.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
The candidate is required to demonstrate the below characteristics as a minimum.
• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Aquaculture, Marine Science, or similar
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Demonstrated competence managing copepod husbandry operations, from culture to harvest
• Aquatic microscopy skills
• Animal and water sampling skills
• Current drivers licence preferred, but not essential.
• Australian resident or have the right to work full time in Australia

Be Rewarded:
In addition to a competitive salary of up to $70,000 - $80,000 p.a., you will receive additional benefits as part of the ABLP team, including:
• Generous discounts on fresh and sustainably-sourced seafood
• Ongoing professional development opportunities, with the opportunity to learn by being exposed to multiple arms of the business.
• The opportunity to work for an innovative business that is leading the way in sustainable seafood production
