The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health team consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work.
About the role:
In this role you will be part of the team providing comprehensive, effective and efficient Social Work services to stakeholders/customers of CQ Health. Services provided are of a varied caseload complexity, spanning the continuum of care that includes service provision to patients/clients within inpatient, outpatient and community clinical settings.
You will also get an opportunity to work within a varied and complex caseload as an individual and in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, and when appropriate use a transdisciplinary service model, while contributing to safe, reliable and sustainable services for CQ Health. The role also contributes to excellence in patient care through the provision of clinical leadership for service development, quality improvement, supervision, education and research activities.
This is a permanent full-time position however, we are quite flexible where we will be able to offer a fixed term temporary full time/part time option for the right candidate with negotiable hours.
About you:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work providing eligibility for membership in the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
High level of knowledge and skill in the provision of generalist Social Work clinical services to clients of all ages across the continuum of care that includes inpatients and outpatients with limited clinical practice supervision.
Ability to provide guidance to students, less experienced staff and other staff.
Provide high level advice and counsel on matters falling within the area of clinical responsibility, to collaborate with and promote positive relationships and interaction / negotiation with patients, stakeholders, professional and operational supervisors to support continuous improvements in the work unit service delivery.
High level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and negotiate with clients, external stakeholders, and staff at all levels of the organisation.
Overseas qualifications will require “Certification of Eligibility” letter from the AASW to be considered for short-listing.

Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
