Senior Data Architect - Sydney - $220k - $240k + super + bonus Your new company We are currently partnering with a bespoke financial services provider who specialise in finance, insurance and leasing services who are seeking a senior data architect to work on their enterprise architecture. Your new role: The architect will be responsible for the design and development of new architectures in the digital and customer service domains. You will also be providing advice to senior and c-level stakeholders on strategies, business objectives and roadmaps to consolidate an entire technology portfolio whilst maintaining governance and documentation. In addition to this, the data architect will have the ability and authority to choose and utilise emerging technologies that will support the business for future growth. What you'll need to succeed:
A minimum of 15 years' experience within IT, and at least 7 of those years being spent as a Data Architect
5+ years' experience in advanced analytics & BI, Data Warehousing and Master Data Management
Very strong data modelling skills (ideally with Erwin), with an ability to present the benefits of your solutions to senior stakeholders within medium-large financial services organisations
Experience in information taxonomies and solutions such as migrations, data integration and content management practices
Expert level SQL and other relevant programming languages (Python, etc)
Expert level Microsoft Stack knowledge, such as the entire suite of Azure technologies, Power BI, SQL Server, Synapse, MS Purview
Excellent communication and business acumen with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders within a financial services environment
Desired, but not essential:
Architecture certification such as TOGAF
Presentation skills
Vendor management selection skills, ideally in data
