We are seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Mechanic to work as part of and manage the maintenance team.

To be eligible for this position, ideally you have the following:
• Trade Qualifications in mechanical services
• A minimum of two years’ of work experience in real mechanic world
• Adequate body-built knowledge of all car models
• Commanding skills of diagnostic and repair
This position has following responsibilities and job duties:
• Do minor service such as change engine oil, change oil filter, replace air filter
• Repairs and service fuel system
• Carry out full safety checks
• Carry out major service such as change spark plugs, change drive belts
• Repair transmission, differentials
• Greasing and oiling
• Check for operation of all electric components
• Check parts with reference to workshop manual as necessary
• Replace brake pads, discs, calipers, brake lines etc.
• Service cooling system, flushing, and changing radiator, replace hoses and water pump
• Inspect and replace suspension components e.g., shockers, bushes, spring etc.
• Rotate tyres and check condition of tyres
• Battery testing, replace and changing if needed
• Replace globes, fuses, and relays
• Discuss problems with car owners/drivers to find faults, listen to engines, clarify specific needs of the clients, take notes in writing, and contact clients if any problem arises other than specified
• Work as a team with other mechanics when teamwork is required
• Use proficiency and take care of the major and minor tools in workshop
• Test drive for final checking
• Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assemblies, use various instruments to make sure they are working properly and put them back into the vehicle
