TELECOMMUNICATIONS FIELD ENGINEER – Hoppers Crossing, VIC

Our client has a dedicated commitment to training and ensure all their technicians meet quality, safety, performance and industry standards to ensure the business consistently meet their contractual obligations and exceed their client’s expectations.
To support their strong growth trajectory, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Telecommunications Field Engineer to join their high performing team. The role is full time, and ongoing.
Responsibilities:
• Lead planning, commissioning, and monitoring of complex telecommunications networks and associated equipment.
• Integrate network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases, and operating systems.
• Monitor the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
• Provide ongoing operational support in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting telecommunications network performance.
• Identify and ensure rectification of malfunctions to ensure uninterrupted communication services.
• Perform end-to-end testing for networks.
• Perform diagnostics
• Develop and maintain logs of tests, locations, and inventories including telecommunications equipment and peripherals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of communication policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
• Use SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) and SWIs (Safe Work Instructions) for maintaining documentation.
• Provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources.
• Monitor contractual obligations and performance delivery to meet specified standards.
To be considered we expect to see:
• Relevant Diploma or higher in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of two to three years (preferably more) highly relevant professional experience gained since you acquired your qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
• Proficiency in configuring and integrating network technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
• Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
