The Manager (Quantitative Research) is responsible for leading the development of quantitative models used to develop asset allocation and portfolio construction recommendations. This role will drive the continuous development of research and quantitative analysis activities with the aim of improving expected returns and risk for fund members.

Key accountabilities:

• Lead the development of Rest’s internal stochastic capital market assumption models across all asset classes and oversee model governance.
• Develop asset allocation optimisation models and recommend strategic asset allocations for all investment options.
• Provide portfolio construction and deployment advice to private markets asset classes based on internally generated research.
• Provide modelling insight and recommendations on the inclusion of new asset classes and their impact on portfolio design.
• Develop quantitative ESG research to inform portfolio construction, including climate scenario analysis.
• Represent the Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation team on investment data, technology stack and investment data strategy committees.
• Undertake ad hoc research to inform investment decision-making.

• Define the organization of work to be performed by the team members, and supervise, co-ordinate and plan daily activities of personnel
• Handle different guest challenges and situations and be part of the first response emergency team.
• Completion of the Daily Running sheet with full communication across all areas of the lounge including Qantas staff
• Reporting of sickness, absence, punctuality, etc. issues to the Lounge and T&C Manager
• Achieve budgets, customer satisfaction targets and other business metrics. 
• Receive and deal with verbal complaints; forward to the Lounge manager when necessary.
• Communicate directly with your front of house team, kitchen team and higher management to provide them with all relevant/ needed information.
• Assist with implement training programs for all employees, conduct induction and skills training
• Maintain and improve quality service in our lounges.  
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation as prescribed by council / legislative regulations, in accordance with the Lounges and Qantas Food Safety Plan. 
• Make sure that an ACCOR and Brand policies are respected
• Excellent knowledge of the software operation and usage..
• Check discrepancy report and action accordingly.
• Train junior team member and co-ordinate the monthly on the job training for the whole department
• Log and inform your Manager of any system problems & workplace injuries.
• Assisting with protecting and maintaining control of the lounge and bar areas.

• Manage all performance or behavioral issues that arise using coaching, counselling and performance management techniques to resolution
• Ensure alignment of objectives and activity across team
• Supports in Developing and maintaining effective industrial relationship with local Union Representatives
• Support with the operational day to day Service Delivery related activities
• Analyse and monitor financial and commercial information and identify issues or opportunities which impact business priorities
• Acts as first point of contact for all safety incidents and response
• Implement and manage Quality Assurance activities
