YARAN Suites is seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to oversee and direct various aspects of our establishment's operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations across multiple areas, including reservations, reception, room service, housekeeping, security, property maintenance, accounting, purchasing, customer satisfaction, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
The employment is for 40 hours per week Monday to Friday: 9am to 5:30 pm. However, you are responsible of overall operations including outside your normal working hour attending to any urgencies. This is a live onsite role to take care of our brand-new development at a prominent position in Rockingham WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role, task, and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Direct and oversee the reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping activities to ensure exceptional guest experiences and satisfaction is provided.
-Provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees.
-Coordinate and oversee property maintenance to ensure a well-presented and inviting atmosphere.
-Assess and review customer satisfaction levels through feedback and surveys, and implement necessary improvements to enhance guest experiences.
-Oversee accounting and purchasing activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and procurement, to maintain efficient operations.
-Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety regulations to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
-Assist guests with local tourism information, including attractions and activities, and arrange tours and transportation services as required
-Managing guest bookings for short stay accommodation from direct and third-party accommodation platforms such as Airbnb, booking.com, Expedia, etc
-Experience in managing lease agreements/ accounts/payments and reconciling experience desired.
-Guest-centric personality with excellent oral and written English communication skills
-Knowledgeable of booking systems (NEWBOOK) and/or motivated and willing to learn a new software system with full training
-Experience using MS teams, Google Sheets, Outlook 365, Asana, Maintenance Manager and property management software, and XERO accounting
-Able to do all admin-related tasks during downtime with an eye for detail and accuracy
-Respond to guests’ calls, and queries, and able to communicate proficiently, and carry out outgoing calls
-NEWBOOK (PMS) and Short Stay Management experience is a MUST!
-Responding to all after hours call for assistance or emergencies
REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s Degree in either Business/Commerce, Business Administration, Property, Property Management, Tourism, Hotel Management
-2-5 years of Proven experience in hospitality management, with a strong background in overseeing various operational areas, training will be provided where needed
-Excellent leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
-Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with guests, staff, & external partners
-Passionate in Property Management who can work independently
-Proficiency in accounting principles and purchasing procedures
-Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service
-Exceptional phone skills & attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
-Enjoy administration, routine, and processes
An incentive remuneration package plus performance bonus will be offered to the successful applicant based on their experience and suitability. Please note this is a live-on site position.
