The Marketing and Student Recruitment team is evolving in 2024 with exciting new opportunities situated across our vibrant Bedford Park campus and our new state-of-the-art Flinders City Campus at Festival Plaza.

About the Role

As a Prospective Student Advisor, you will use your practical understanding of community liaison, recruitment, and marketing to inspire and engage an audience interested in pursuing foundation studies, undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Flinders University. In this multi-faceted position, you will also manage the lead generation, nurture and conversion of prospective students while coordinating a range of community outreach activities with external organisations, such as schools, to achieve Domestic Student targets.
The Prospective Student Advisor will be responsible for:
Responding to inquiries from prospective students regarding career options, pathways, course and entry requirements.
Undertaking project work to plan, develop and coordinate new and continuing initiatives to assist in the recruitment of students.
Coordinating and participating in domestic student recruitment and career events such as School Visits, Expos, Careers Fairs and University Open Days.
About You
With your well-developed sales-orientated approach to customer service, you will drive engagement and increase interest in study pathways at Flinders University by supporting students from initial inquiry. Your excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills will be the key to your success as you demonstrate your ability to liaise with stakeholders and prospective students at various levels.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment
A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.

In addition, it is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a current Working With Children Check which is satisfactory to the University in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).
A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
Please note: Some out-of-hours work (evenings and weekends) will be required. Due to the nature of the position opportunities for leave may be limited at some times between December to March and June to September. Intra and Interstate travel may be required.
