Key Responsibilities

• Contacting leads generated by the marketing team, both outbound and inbound opportunities
• Calling prospects and reach key decision makers to explain our services with the intent of securing a meeting for our Business Development Managers (BDMs)
• Maintaining quality lead and client data within our CRM system
• Working closely with our field-based BDMs to ensure the best chance of a successful meeting
• Meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Ensuring a client focused, professional approach that ultimately leads to a great reputation for the business and referrals/ word of mouth

Requirements

• Proven experience in a high-volume phone or telesales role, or experience with B2B sales
• Confident in picking up the phone and calling warm leads (making 60-80 calls per day)
• Exceptional rapport building over the phone and a demonstrated resilience to be on the phone all day
• Eagerness to learn from your team, BDM and our executive group, all who will support you to perform at your best
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated, keen to develop your sales skills

You will be joining an Award-winning SAM team within our extensive Australian Service Operations business.

As a Consulting member of the SAM team, you will be supported and valued, working collaboratively across a range of SAM consulting projects and services. What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a proactive, highly skilled, and enthusiastic team member who’s interested in being part of a larger group delivering high-quality SAM solutions to our customers.

You’ll bring expertise developed over 5+ years in a Software Asset Management role as you will be undertaking a range of interesting activities relating to software licensing, audit, and compliance management on behalf of our customers. You will also be supporting the delivery of the Software Asset Management (SAM) managed services and projects for multiple customers from Commercial and Government industries.

You will have advanced critical thinking skills, an ability to interpret and apply logical decision making to a variety of data, and you must be able to deliver your analysis, findings, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Your ability to work with other members of the SAM and customer management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our customer is critical to the success of our SAM Consulting and Managed services.

This role can be based out of any Datacom office in Australia. Australian Citizenship is essential for Federal Government security clearance requirements. Preferably, you'll be a holder of either a current or lapsed Baseline clearance or higher.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Customer account teams. Essentially, the Software Asset Management Consultant will:

• Act as Consulting SAM Subject Matter Expert for our customers.
• Deliver SAM Consulting services relevant to today’s changing technology landscape and market demands.
• Deliver Compliance Reviews (Effective Licensing Position) for Customers.
• Review current software licensing Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to identify any breaches or risks for our customers.
• Apply knowledge of licensing rules and use rights within SAM Consulting Services.
• Analyse, document, and present licensing modelling recommendations.
• Identify license reclamation opportunities to achieve cost avoidance outcomes.
• Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
• Contribute to the achievement of project outcomes while managing compliance and commercial risks for customers.
• Provide quality customer service through adherence to Datacom’s Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
• Utilise SAM technologies and their capabilities including Flexera’s FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) and/or Snow License Manager.
• Interpret data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.
