About us Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients. NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards. About the role: We have designed a market leading 12-week Introduction to Perioperative Nursing (Instrument/Circulating) program, with the successful participant to join our team on a full time basis.

If you are high performing and stay with us for 12mths+ at a minimum of 30 hours a week, we will continue to invest in your on-going growth by supporting you to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing

About you To be successful in your application for this program, you will need:
Permanent work rights within Australia with no restrictions (unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this program)
At least 12 months' experience post registration in Acute Care
Current APHRA registration
Have a Working with Children Check or be willing to get one
Be able to commit to a rotating roster including AM, PM/nights, weekends and public holidays, with shifts ranging from 8 - 10 hours
IV Endorsement as an Enrolled Nurse
A genuine passion to transition into the theatre environment
Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well independently and within a team
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
