As the Senior Finance Manager in the SIXT business division, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the division including ownership of the customer billing process. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with NRMA Group policies, and the efficient use of financial resources.

What You'll Do

• Management of month end and year end close activities in line with NRMA Group timelines
• Manage the compilation of the monthly balance sheet and annual budgeted balance sheets
• Preparation of monthly BAS, FBT and Income Tax provisions and return calculations, including liaising with Group Tax
• Oversee the effective operation of controls to monitor compliance with policies such as delegation of authority and travel/expense management
• Lead the development and implementation of effective transaction capture and billing process, including management key stakeholders in Product development, Operations, Technology and Franchisees
• Lead the financial control and accounts receivable teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their roles effectively
• Inspire confidence and efficiency within the team and across the broader business for the delivery of timely, high-quality service to internal and external customers

What You'll Bring

• Effective leadership and management skills and proven track record in people management
• Tertiary level qualification in a relevant finance discipline including CA/CPA
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong skills in Excel and proficient across a range of MS suite platforms and other reporting systems and tools

Lead the branch in developing and maintaining a “best in class” pricing strategy to ensure consistent ability to win spot quotes and ongoing quotation requests from new and existing customers, RFQ bids, as well as governance of timely rate card completion, consistently, and accurately every month. This will include, ensuring agreed GRI adjustments and updated selling rates are reflected in the latest version rate cards each month.
Primary focus is on Import Air and Import Ocean transportation with other products to follow.
This position will ensure a standardized pricing team model, encompassing centralized rate management and a centralized way of performing all pricing requests that will ensure speed and accuracy in quote responses is adhered to, while still allowing the branch to achieve consistent profitability and growth of operating income. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the leader for pricing and have regular engagement with District Management Team on pricing strategy and outcomes.
• Ownership and completion timely of branch customer rate cards and costings (quotations), which includes adding markup, ensuring all applicable charges are included in the quotation, and sending out once complete to the customer via email.
• Overseas branch communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
• Follow up via Teams or phone call (for urgent request) if there is no response received within one business day.
• Improve speed of spot quote turnaround.
• Understand customer strategies and practices used to procure rates through RFQs, auctions, short-term and spot quotes.
• Work with Branch Product and Sales and Account Management to identify and close key targets.
• Utilize analytical data about pricing effectiveness and performance, conduct reviews with product leaders and relevant teams to review results and improve performance.

This opportunity sits within the digital pillar of Nine, where the focus is driving advertising effectiveness for brands across the suite of Nine digital assets such as nine.com.au, 9Now, 9Honey smh.com.au, afr.com.au and theage.com.au.

At the core, you will be accountable for end-to-end campaign management of Digital Ad campaigns, including but not limited to: approving bookings, monitoring campaign performance, deploying optimisation tactics to deliver budgets and technical troubleshooting.

By developing and nurturing a collaborative relationship with your sales patches and providing the highest level of service and project management, you will drive successful campaign delivery outcomes.

Day to day you will:

• Collectively prioritise campaign launches across your list of dedicated sales teams, ensuring a smooth go live process that is in-line with our Service Level Agreements
• Implement optimisation tactics as required throughout the lifetime of the campaign to maximise delivery and revenue
• Make calculated decisions in adjusting inventory and data mixology to achieve campaign objectives and maximise revenue
• Collaborate with Nines digital sales teams to resolve technical or delivery issues
• Run ‘In Progress’ meetings with the Sales team to ensure they are on track
• Provide end of campaign reporting insights, data analysis and recommendations to promote revenue growth
