As our West Footscray based SOC Operator, you’ll be responsible for assessing, analysing, and responding to incidents related to physical safety and security for NEXTDC. Here you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the security of NEXTDC data centre facilities and be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.

You’ll have daily use of tools/systems (e.g. access control, CCTV, AI based risk feeds) to detect impact to our people, products, property, customers, or brand image and alert the appropriate response stakeholders. In addition, you’ll personally have a strong commitment to security with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and high-stakes environment. 

Working arrangement: 4 on 4 off roster – both day night rotation 

In this role you’ll see yourself:  

• Continuous remote monitoring of our security systems, including CCTV, intrusion detection systems and access control systems, to identify and respond to security threats and incidents. 
• Respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms, breaches, and unauthorised access attempts following NEXTDC Incident Management Process. 
• Escalate incidents as necessary and co-ordinate with necessary bodies.  
• Maintain operational logs, conduct daily shift checklists, handover reports, and incident reports. 
• Maintain detailed records of security incidents, actions taken, and ongoing security activities. 
• Facilitate audit requests from internal and external stakeholders providing detailed information and reports as required. 

About you: 

• Proven experience in a security related role, preferably within the data centre or critical infrastructure environment. 
• Knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection. 
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels. 
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergencies and stressful situations exercising proper judgment and decision-making skills. 
• Ability to work 4 on 4 off roster – both day night rotation 

The Asset Manager manages, controls, and protects the organization’s IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Manager designs, develops, and implements the organization’s asset management strategy.

The Asset Manager will develop and implement the asset management framework throughout the organisation, aiming for integration and a consistent approach across all teams. It is expected the incumbent will be a key member of TSA’s Asset Management Steering Group, helping to drive improvement in TSA’s asset management capability.

The role requires the ability to plan for the provision, maintenance, and renewal of assets via guiding policies, strategies and detailed plan documents. The accurate recording, analysis, and maintenance of large quantities of data will form the foundation of the planning process.

You will be responsible for: 

• Act as the first point of contact for IT asset inquiries via phone or email.
• Utilise asset management tools to track, analyse, and review data.
• Develop processes for asset control, reconciliation, and disposal.
• Monitor IT asset lifecycle, ensuring productivity and cost efficiency.
• Assist in inventory, procurement, and shipment activities.
• Ensure software license compliance and monitor usage standards.
• Collaborate with management on cost savings, compliance, and service improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with Operations, suppliers, and partners.
• Ensure audit compliance and oversee asset deployment and replacement policies.
• Guide and support IT asset associates in daily operations.
• Optimise underutilised hardware assets for efficiency and ROI.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and databases for asset management.
• Plan and manage IT hardware lifecycle strategies, ensuring policy compliance.
• Produce and analyse asset registers, including software, licenses, and agreements.
• Resolve instances of unauthorised or unlicensed assets.
• Apply procurement processes for effective purchasing and contract management.
• Manage IT hardware portfolio with a focus on risk, cost control, and compliance.
• Lead a team of IT Asset Analysts and act as a subject matter expert.
• Optimise IT hardware usage, deployment, and cost.
• Oversee acquisition, tracking, security, and disposal of IT assets.

What You'll Be Doing 

• Answering inbound calls from customers looking to discuss NRMA's available policies and offers. 
• On call exploration of the customers services, making sure that we have as much information as possible to provide the most relevant and tailored solutions.
• Offer General insurance products - Motor, Home and CTP insurance as well as NRMA Roadside Assistance (On behalf of NRMA)
• Use effective communication skills to build rapport and provide engaging customer experiences, whilst also objection handling and providing customers a solution to their enquiry.
• Be flexible with hours to ensure we're available when our customers need us.
