The purpose of this position is to consistently recruit, train, manage, motivate

and lead a team of sales people to meet or exceed monthly targets such that

customer retention and portfolio growth, and hence turnover growth, is

sustainable in the longer term.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Servicing our existing client base and analysing their needs to increase sales
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through securing of profitable new customers and upsell and drive density to existing customers.
• Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with customer base within major accounts
• Develop proposals appropriate to customers' needs, including product, service and cost options
• Facilitate the resolution of any issues by actively resolving all first line queries and escalating where required
• Document all customer contact information into company systems and applications
• Monitor competitor and market activity, reporting significant developments to management and monitor market trends through personal contact with customers

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience working within a service industry (desirable)
• Experience in B2B sales and cold calling
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
• Understanding of local area and a direct selling culture
• High level commercial and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to achieve sales target

The Job

Your goal for 2025 is to proactively grow the Australian market, you will be the “feet on the ground” representing the business with the full support of the team back at HQ in NZ. You will focus on maintaining existing accounts, identifying prospective customers, and developing new relationships.

This is a pure solution sales role so you will be accustomed to working with a lengthy sales cycle (up to 6 months) and competent at working closely with customers and technical/design professionals to find bespoke solutions to specific process requirements.

As a natural, hungry but humble hunter you will focus on new business development but with a strong pipeline already in place, you will hit the ground running. As a field-based position, you will spend 3-4 days a week visiting clients across NSW and VIC including regional locations so you must be comfortable as a solo-operator and have the ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities:

• Drive new business growth and manage a robust pipeline of potential clients.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing tailored solutions.
• Conduct sales presentations, product demos, and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to outperform competitors.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a technical or engineering field.
• Proven ability to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Australia, with overnight stays as required.
• A self-starter with a proactive and results-driven approach.
