The Role

As Sales Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team and managing procurement activities within the organisation.

Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating sales support functions, ensuring prompt and efficient procurement of goods and services, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

You will also be responsible for driving process improvement initiatives within the sales support and procurement functions. This involves identifying opportunities for streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support, mentoring and coaching to the Sales Operations Team
• Ensure effective utilisation of human resources
• Ensure daily duties and responsibilities are being met by the Sales Operations Team
• Ensure the Sales Operations Team have the capabilities, capacity, and equipment to meet the business requirements
• HR management of Sales Operations Team including performance appraisals, induction, onboarding, training and development
• Process assessment and analysis
• Identify improvement opportunities
• Implement process changes

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand their requirements and provide them with the necessary support
• Handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service to support the sales process
• Assist in the preparation of quotations, proposals, presentations, and contracts for the Sales Team
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to gather relevant information for sales material
• Maintain and update client databases, sales reports, and other relevant documentation
• Receive and process client orders and internal orders
• Promote and maintain excellent supplier relationships

• Ensure returns are processed in a timely basis and followed through until credit is received

• Update configuration details in ConnectWise and registered on completed orders e.g. subscriptions
• Ensure adequate levels are kept of stocked items
• Ensure work area, stock room and loading dock are kept tidy and WHS compliant

• Proven experience in sales support, procurement, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, market dynamics, and supplier management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives, preferably in sales support or procurement
• Project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor process improvement projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and develop effective solutions
• Proficiency in using relevant software applications, such as CRM systems and procurement software
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Defence Force experience is desirable

Our Mission

The Role

As a Sales & Retention Specialist with Lyka, you'll attend pop-up sales events across Sydney (eg at markets and shopping centres) and promote the benefits of Lyka, with the goal of achieving new subscriptions. On days when you're not face to face selling, you will support retention of existing customers through email and phone channels.

What you'll do:

• Attract and drive consumer traffic to Lyka's physical sales stands at markets and retail locations
• Communicate the benefits of Lyka, effectively demonstrating product features and benefits
• Faciliate sign up process for customers
• Overcome objections and meet sales targets
• Assist with set up and pack down of equipment of our sales stands
• Drive retention through winning back cancelled customers via phone or email
• Foster a growth-orientated, positive and high-performance culture that motivates employees and is aligned to the company's mission

• Direct face to face sales experience, with the proven ability to close sales on the spot
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; friendly and approachable
• Exceptional customer service skills; helpful and positive attitude and always looking to go above and beyond for customers
• Confident, clear verbal and written English communication and negotiation/influencing skills
• Proficient in using a computer, touch typing and able to learn new tools/systems
• Willingness to learn new topics, such as dog nutrition and wellness

• High sense of ownership and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
• Must love dogs and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel to various sales events

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager in Australia to join our international B2B brand RateHawk, develop our business and make the travel world better together!

Job Responsibilities

• Actively promote our international project in Australia;
• Develop and implement sales activities and hit the sales targets to achieve growth and expand presence in assigned territory;
• Sign-up new partners and provide them with extended training of our system;
• Initiate an API deals with the potential and existing partners;
• Build and maintain a strong, long-lasting relationship with new partners;
• Prepare, execute, and manage the commercial deals with the partners including the execution of required document flow and technical setup;

What you will be responsible for:

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the mining sector, with a focus on offering wear solutions to reduce clients’ ultimate costs.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, and conducting onsite trials to demonstrate product benefits.

• Building and nurturing relationships with mine owners, design consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and service contractors.

• Delivering compelling sales presentations and conducting product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our steel plates.

• High school qualifications are essential, and degrees will be considered, but your attitude and energy are what matter most.

• You’ve got a proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in the mining or industrial services sector. Familiarity with steel products, especially wear applications, is a big plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, along with the ability to solve problems and negotiate. You’ve got a technical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow within our business.

Additional requirements:

• You must be willing to travel in NSW and interstate as needed, with the potential for international travel.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential.

• A pre-employment medical, D&A check will be required.
